At the 19th Rwanda Agri-Show 2026, currently taking place at Mulindi Show Ground in Gasabo District, the Ingabo Farmers’ Association showcased its commitment to transforming cassava production through the promotion of innovative and climate-smart farming practices.

During his visit to the association’s exhibition stand, the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Dr. Telesphore Ndabamenye, commended the efforts of the Ingabo Farmers’ Association in promoting technologies that enhance agricultural productivity and resilience. He particularly emphasized the importance of Zai Pit Technology as an effective solution for increasing cassava yields, improving soil fertility, and helping farmers adapt to the impacts of climate change.

The Minister encouraged cassava growers across Rwanda to embrace this innovative farming technique, noting that its adoption has the potential to significantly improve productivity while making efficient use of available water and soil nutrients. He stressed that modern agricultural technologies are essential for achieving sustainable food security and increasing farmers’ incomes.

The Ingabo Farmers’ Association continues to play a vital role in empowering cassava farmers by promoting improved agronomic practices, facilitating access to innovative technologies, and strengthening farmers’ capacities through training and knowledge sharing. By championing solutions such as Zai Pit Technology, the association is helping farmers overcome production challenges and increase cassava output in a sustainable manner.
