“Let there be food in Rwanda.” This powerful call was emphasized by the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Dr. Telesphore Ndabamenye, during the closing ceremony of Rwanda Agri-Show 2026, reaffirming the country’s commitment to strengthening food security through agricultural innovation and increased productivity.

Among the exhibitors, Ingabo Farmers’ Association stood out for its active participation in showcasing innovative solutions that are transforming the cassava value chain. The association highlighted sustainable cassava production practices, with particular emphasis on the Zai Pit technology—an innovative soil and water conservation technique that improves soil fertility, enhances moisture retention, and significantly increases cassava productivity, especially in areas vulnerable to climate change.

Through its participation, Ingabo Farmers’ Association demonstrated its commitment to empowering farmers with practical, climate-smart agricultural technologies that improve yields, strengthen resilience, and create greater market opportunities across the cassava value chain.

The association’s presence at Rwanda Agri-Show 2026 reflects its continued role in promoting sustainable cassava production, supporting value addition, and contributing to Rwanda’s national agenda of achieving food security and agricultural transformation.
